Application directions

Pre-construction preventative treatment

125 mℓ / 100ℓ water

FOR PRE-CONSTRUCTION PREVENTATIVE TREATMENTS A TRENCH AND OVERALL TREATMENT MUST BE CARRIED OUT.

1) Trench treatment: For foundations, service trenches, etc. apply mixture at a rate of 5ℓ per linear meter. Ensure thorough application along the insides of the foundation walls. Trenches that accommodate sewers, water pipes and electric cables that enter the building must be treated for their full length inside the building.

2) Overall treatment: Do not apply Premise® 200 SC to excessively wet soil. If more than 15 mm rain falls within 24 hours after application, the application should be repeated unless the treated soil was adequately protected.

2.1) Suspended floors: Treat the entire surface area below the floors at a rate of 5ℓ mixture per square meter.

2.2) Concrete floors: After the ground has been filled and compacted but before concrete slab is casted, treat the hardcore and soil at a rate of 5ℓ mixture per m2.

Note: Special attention must in all cases be paid to thorough coverage along the inside of the foundation walls, indoor partition walls, around and along plumbing and electrical conduits (where applicable) and inside cavity walls. It is imperative that the mixture shall be applied in such a way that a continuous protective layer of the building’s floor plan is achieved.

Post-construction corrective treatment: Conventional treatment

125 mℓ / 100ℓ water

FOR FULL TREATMENT POST-CONSTRUCTION CORRECTIVE TREATMENTS AN OUTDOOR AND INDOOR APPLICATION MUST BE CARRIED OUT.

1) Outdoor application

1.1) Outdoor trench application: Dig a 150 mm wide and 450 mm deep trench around the exterior perimeter of the foundations. Do not dig below the foundation. Apply the mixture to the bottom of the trench at a rate of 5ℓ per linear meter of the foundation. Backfill the trench with soil that has been treated with the same mixture. Treat lengths of 3-6 m foundation at a time in order to prevent weakening of the foundation structure.

1.2) Outdoor drill and inject application: Where concrete aprons, porches, verandahs, paved walkways etc. prevent the use of trenching as described above a perimeter drill and inject application should be carried out. Drill and inject every one meter around the entire outside perimeter of the house. Holes must be drilled from the outside through the outer walls to ensure that the mixture is applied under the floor slab. Flood the mixture into these holes at 5 ℓ / hole and seal the holes with mortar after the mixture has drained away.

2) Indoor application:

2.1) Suspended wooden floors: Holes can be drilled through the floor at regular intervals. The soil surface below the floor must be treated at a rate of 5ℓ mixture per m2. Fill all holes with wooden dowels after application.

2.2) Solid floors: Holes must be drilled through concrete floors around the inside perimeter of all rooms in the building, approximately 1 m apart. Flood the mixture into these holes at 5ℓ / hole and seal the holes with mortar after the mixture has drained away.

Post-construction corrective treatment: Perimeter drill and inject treatment

250 mℓ / 100ℓ water

Drill and inject every one meter around the entire outside perimeter of the house and 1-3 times at the site of active infestation within the house. Holes must be drilled from the outside through the outer walls to ensure that the mixture is applied under the floor slab. Flood the mixture into these holes at 5ℓ / hole and seal the holes with mortar after the mixture has drained away.

ALL THE ABOVE APPLICATIONS MUST CONFORM TO THE DETAILS SET OUT IN THE SABS CODE OF PRACTICE NUMBER SANS 100124: 2003 EDITION 3 AS AMENDED.

Road and runway construction

125 mℓ / 100ℓ water

Treatment must be done below the second last compaction fill at 5ℓ mixture per m2. The treatment must be extended across the entire width of the road, including the road shoulders.

Treatment of existing colonies

6.25 mℓ / 5ℓ water / nest

Active nests within 50 m of structures perimeter (or boundaries of property if smaller than 50 m) should be treated.

Termite mounds: Remove the top of the mound with a small axe or spade. Pour 5ℓ of the mixture into the termite nest.

Chimney termite mounds (e.g. Odontotermes spp.): Pour the 5 ℓ mixture into as many chimneys as can be found within the selected area.

First Aid
  • Remove patient from source of poisoning (to well ventilated area) and keep him quiet and reassured.
  • Remove contaminated clothing and rinse contaminated body area thoroughly with plenty of soap and cold water.
  • After eye contact, flush contamination out of eyes with clean water and call a doctor.
  • If swallowed do not induce vomiting. Wash out mouth with water and call a doctor immediately.
Note Physicians
